Facebook Event Link: https://www.facebook.com/share/1AJPV6fnX4/
The CNA brings together neighborhood groups from across Olympia to elevate community priorities, strengthen collaboration, and improve connection between residents, organizations, and city leadership. This forum is intended to create space for broader community input and to help identify shared needs, priorities, and project ideas that could benefit from cross-organizational collaboration.
The purpose of this forum is to hear directly from community members and organizations about needs, priorities, project ideas, and the kinds of support residents want to see, not only related to Neighborhood Matching Grants, but also across other funding opportunities and programs. This includes ideas like neighborhood gathering spaces, mobility improvements, murals, community fridges, food access projects, community gardens, emergency preparedness efforts, and other community-led initiatives. These are just examples – the possibilities are wide open, and we want to hear what ideas and priorities matter most to you and your organization.
The goal is not just to collect feedback, but to begin building stronger connections between residents, neighborhood groups, and organizations who may want to explore collaboration, including potential joint grant applications or partnership opportunities.
At the forum, participants will:
- Learn about the Council of Neighborhood Associations and its role
- Connect with residents and community leaders across neighborhoods
- Share priorities, ideas, and project concepts
- Identify opportunities for collaboration
- Help shape what this collective work focuses on next
Free pizza and water will be provided.
If you or other from your organization are unable to attend in person, you can still share your input using this community priorities survey link:
If you know of any staff/volunteers, partner organizations, or community members who might be interested in this conversation, please feel free to share this event, forward this email, and/or share the survey with them. The more voices we hear from, the stronger and more representative this effort will be.
This is not about having fully formed proposals or polished ideas. It is about showing up, listening, and beginning to explore what we might build together as a community.
