Help Improve Our Neighborhood Sidewalks

You Can Help by Identifying Problem Sidewalks – A CNA Initiative

Everyone who uses sidewalks in Olympia knows that there is a lot of room for improvement in their condition. You probably have a few favorite examples of damaged or even missing sidewalks in your neighborhood or in other neighborhoods where you walk or roll.

Because so many neighborhoods for so many years have asked the city to make progress on the issue, the CNA made it a special initiative. You can support this effort by using a mobile phone app developed in coordination with the Evergreen State College GIS experts to submit photographs and brief descriptions of sidewalk problems. Follow the instructions below to download and use the mobile app to begin mapping problem sidewalks

With kudos to the city, we are now beginning to see real progress in helping fix these problems so that no one is injured or prevented from just getting around because of poor sidewalk condition.

Scroll down to the “Quick Start Guide” below for the basic application instructions.
For those not well-versed in working with* smart phone apps or wish to have more detail and background on the application, scroll down to the “Full Sidewalk App” section.
